In aiming to improve the prospects for coffee producers, GCT joins – and in some cases partners with – international development agencies, NGOs and certification organisations. We remain, however, entirely independent.

Descriptions are taken direct from their respective websites:

Rain Forest Alliance

4C Association

The 4C Association is the platform that brings together stakeholders in the coffee sector to address sustainability issues in a pre-competitive manner. This global community works together to improve the economic, social and environmental conditions of those who make their living from coffee.

The Fairtrade Foundation is the independent non-profit organisation that licenses use of the FAIRTRADE Mark on products in the UK in accordance with internationally agreed Fairtrade standards. Our vision is of a world in which justice and sustainable development are at the heart of trade structures and practices so that everyone, through their work, can maintain a decent and dignified livelihood and develop to their full potential.

UTZ Certified

UTZ CERTIFIED is one of the largest coffee certification programs in the world.
UTZ CERTIFIED provides independent assurance of responsible production and sourcing. UTZ creates opportunities for farmers to improve business practices and meet market expectations.
